As fireman so eloquently pointed out last time we had this discussion, United pilot went on strike in 1985 when management proposed a B-scale for new hires. I guess times have changed. Now Frontier management is getting their own pilots to defend this B-scale! Why not cut 12th year captain pay by a few bucks an hour to fund the B fund?? Not everyone will have to get 12th year captain pay, but EVERYONE will go through 1st year FO pay.

Or better yet, how about keeping the old pay rates (because they were higher) and asking for a B fund in addition! That would just be crazy talk.
30k a year is much better than what cal pays their first year fo's and they could be flying bigger aircraft like the 757
