Agreed wholeheartedly. This is what I’ve been saying for the last week. All the naysayers who say we shouldn’t discuss the pros and cons of pbs are potentially going to be blindsided by pbs and then scrambling to figure out what is and isn’t acceptable within pbs itself. However, if that happens they’ll be inundated with spin from union leadership only focusing on the positives.

My fear is that people may see “big” dollar signs and lose sight of what we’ll be giving up. Coupled with the fact that any pbs system that the company agrees to will not be one that I want to work under.

Also, I am not going to support any TA that has something similar to Spirit’s contract with regard to future negotiations and pbs (ie: the company and the union agree to meet over the next several months and negotiate the details of pbs including vendor, parameters, etc). If I can’t see details up front there’s no way I’ll support any agreement.
