Every supposed bad thing about 9 hour SCs is just "what if" speculation that is totally meaningless because scheduling can always release guys early and routinely did when they needed somebody.

Being on SC for 3 hours less every period is a guaranteed fact for every Pilot that sits SC. All the nonsense about making us more productive is just that - nonsense.

Like I said we enough real "turds" to deal with in our PWA, there is absolutely no need to spin good stuff into more turds.

Ok. My opinion is this is just the beginning of a productivity plan that uses reserves more and moves us away from a long call dominant system. I’ll quit posting about this but I reserve the right to post, “I told you so” when this becomes evident and requires negotiating capital to fix. More QOL lost for reserves by company discretion will be the end result of their productivity push. This shorter window provides them more flexibility with no loss in coverage. I know I’m to early for some but ask yourself if my thinking is possible an then ask yourself if the company would like to find additional efficiency with regard to reserve staffing.
