It's a stupid question but if it really needs an answer? Here's mine.

They both have served their Country. One paid taxes for 35 years. The other enlisted and if needed would have put his/her life on the line for their country.

Taxes support the USA military.

I personally thank them both.

Now why was this question on an ALPA decertification thread?
