if MEA is correct and they post a displacement bid I don’t see how a downgrade on the Boeing side is not possible merely because the numbers match. Is this about the red circle protections?

45 a320 CA’s displaced, with 45 Captain openings on the 737 say with 45 openings in SEA. Let’s just say that 45 of the most senior 737-SEA-FO’s, who are all senior to the 45 displaced 320 Captains bid SEA Captain. If a displaced a320 CA then. elects to bump to SEA, diesn’t that bump the bottom guy out of SEA. Perhaps he can save his seat and be a Captain in LAX, or save his base and be a senior FO, but nevertheless he is still displaced possibly downgraded. No?
