I wouldn't call it "delays in training" at Republic but rather "longer training footprint for Initials": You know from Indoc what the footprint is and that after Indoc you are about 1 months home before going for Systems then about 1 month home before starting sim.

Also jeep in mind that Republic's training seems to be a bit less forgiving as the number of washouts in Initial is higher nowadays. Maybe combined with more candidates not cut for the 121 worked or not taking training seriously.

More importantly is not really what happens in training but what happens on the line. Are you going to be swimming among a pool of 120 other rsv FOs and are you going t make you 700-900 hours per year or just be used 10 hrs/month for the first 6-7 months?

Asking Endeavor pilots to take unpaid leave (voluntary furlough) shows more a need to save on payroll than a training/scheduling need.

It's not always good when they start trying to save on payroll.
