Do you guys really believe this management group would have come to the table now if they were meeting their new hire goals. They only reason we are discussing the cons of a AIP (not many pros know yet), is because they can’t recruit pilots. If the classes were full, why would they cough up any $$$. Heck, they cut 1600+ hours out of the January schedule for the lack of pilots. Name another time in the history of ALPA in which they have told pilots not to go to an airline? I’m not saying new hires are the problem, but they are certainly not the solution right now. Once we ratify a contract, new hires will be welcomed with open arms. Till, then, do yourself and us a favor and stay the hell away.
