Do zeds even get on the big 3? They have standby lists in the triple digits and will never put a zed in first. I just jumpseat if I’m alone and buy tickets if I’m with the family. The standby game is a complete waste unless you can fly first Intl. That’s when it starts to pay for itself. We clearly have some of the worst pass travel but at least for now standby lists at Spirit aren’t hundreds long.
I think lack of quality pass travel should be monetized in the next contract personally. Since we don’t have the ability to take our family to Asia or wherever in first class we should have another comparable benefit in its place.
