BB can have all the feelings he wants and common belief here doesn't seem to hold much water. Unlike Delta and and US Airways we can't toss 170/175s on the flying. AA flying is making money. There are provisions in place that make it beneficial for AA to keep their flying with us once the current contract is over with. At no point has the company stated anything about us dropping the flying and word of mouth doesn't mean anything here. If it did then CLE would already be a base and CMH would have already been closed down along with GSO and possibly few others. My beliefs of BB's statements involve Delta and US where we had the option to do something else. Unless we have one massive staffing issue and a few 170/175s parked on the ramps it doesn't seem logical. At no point has anyone made it "clear that we are not interested in pursuing our contract beyond the current term". I'm going to toss that statement in the pile along with us supposedly trying to pick up 190s, wanting to get ETOPS rated 170/175s, and how upgrades were expected to be around 3yrs at this point in time.
