Agreed. Even under our old contract I have no idea why anyone would work at a South American carrier if they have a legal right to work in the United States. The money they pay those guys is ridiculous. Now it’s a no brainer. Haven’t had any issues with any of them. Only a little slow on the radio on the ground in places like lax or ord but that’ll get better with time. Great guys.
The FO I flew with said there was a certain amount of pride that came with flying for your home country’s airline. Also said he kept hoping it would get better and commuting from Columbia to FLL didn’t seem like a great option at the time but now that he’s here he wishes he would have done it a long time ago. He was a 320 captain over there.
