There are two ways to look at this; (1) it’s a great opportunity for a low time commercial pilot to achieve their goal of getting to the regionals and avoiding the instructing route (2) it locks your career opportunities for the next ~3 years, unless you can afford to buy out the contract(s). It’s worth noting, Mesa pays the $10k at the “interview”.
FWIW, as a new hire you will be going to Pennsylvania. The SAE first officers do get travel bennies with Mesa so it helps with non- rev commutes.
So the $10k is paid right away, but then requires Mesa contract afterwards? Or the $10k is paid once you go to Mesa, and at that point you lock in? And non-rev benefits JUST on Mesa or on mainline partners (while employed at SAE)?
