just this week I got a free breakfast for my crew ($40 value), base points, an elite bonus, and an extra 2,000 points for some sort of promotion at a Mariott property. I'm up to 62 nights at Mariott in 2018 alone, zero of which I have paid for...not to mention gold status at IHG thanks to our Cincy/Charlotte Holiday Inns for sims.
I wish I had your luck! I was diamond with Hitlon, and platinum with IHG when I was corporate. Now I'm lucky to maintain silver and gold at either, even with the stay credit in CVG for sims. I did get a free breakfast for the crew once about 3 years ago when I was still platinum at Hitlon garden inn.
