Why is the company so attached to the FO seat lock? Letting FOs bid around would instantly solve the all-consuming bitterness festering in every crew room from guys who have been here a year or more that are effectively junior to new hires in day one of indoc on the 175 in terms of schedule, base, career (HRS) and even pay for those who would be inclined to pick up OT.
This!!!! One of the biggest blunder & vex I have with this place.
It’s the policy of the past, not working in this environment.
I’m sure company think it’s a leverage they have to negotiate with and get something.
They’ll continue to hurt themselves in efficiencies, costs, and other operational costs long term.
Hell SKYWEST is a bigger company & pilot group., they don’t do that. AAG is a 15,000 pilot Group they handle training costs just fine (1 instructor to 2 pilots during Groundschool & sims).,
It costs nothing these days, but hey whatever floats the company’s boat on perceived leverage.
