I'm 29 with 2700TT, ATP, 1000 Turbine, and 800TPIC(part 135). At the moment, I think RAH would give me the best QOL and fastest seniority, and would be the best place to sit for a few years if I had to. If Delta or Continental called, I would be willing to buy out of the agreement, but hate the thought of doing so. ASA has better 2nd year FO pay, but pilots seem to complain about their schedules a bit more. I also think an upcoming TA for RAH in the next year or two would take care of the discrepancy. Colgan would get me alot of TPIC quickly, but most pilots on here say they are treated like dirt, and imagine it's worse being hired directly to the left seat. Flying the -9 would be great, but I'm concerned about how well a 40+ year old airplane can be maintained. Having had an engine failure due to poor maintenance, that is a huge issue in my mind. For me, days off, dollars, and domicile are most important (in that order) in making the decision. ATL is my preferred domicile, and S5 and ASA both take care of that. Sorry if I sound schizo, I just want to make the best educated decision I can about my career.
Honestly that's kinda tough as it really depends on you. The USA Jet could help you land other cargo jobs. If you are willing to put up with the crap, make absolutely NO money, and live like a bum for a couple years a direct entry CA doesn't seem so bad. Multi-turbine PIC is multi-turbine PIC. It's a 121 environment and you get some crew time too. Plus props are way more fun to fly. The company might suck though.
