They do the same job. Work for a different company though. Wal-Mart employees and Target employees do the same job. Different experience between the two companies and a quick Google search has a 10% difference in pay between the two.
And if they were represented by the same union, would the union be justified in telling the WalMart workers they should expect to be paid less than the Target workers?
Edited to add: Especially when WalMart is more profitable than Target?
