This is a common defense people like to throw out but sadly, experience is relative and therefore needs to be treated as such. Asking someone to compare their current feelings with that of someone they don't know, haven't spoken with, didn't interact with all because it makes an argument better doest work.
While we appreciate what you’re going through, it is not an unfair expectation to somehow think that that people now have the ability to realize that while they may feel screwed, they internally should know they’re actually very lucky.

This is a common defense that millennial types like to use in an attempt to turn the tables and control the narrative. Experience may be relative, but learning from history isn’t. Trying to write off the history of our profession, and the experience, is a slap in the face insult to everybody who’s come before you. It’s the equivalent of saying, it’s all about me; who cares what you went through.

I really don’t think you appreciate it at all. That was purely lip service.
