Default How valuable is High Alt,Mountain,AK time?

For folks a little further into the career field than I am, how valuable is time put in flying in the mountains, at high altitude? Is that even considered to have much value on a resume? I know AK time can have merit, but for what kind of job?

Obviously the end goal will determine the answer, and I really don't know what that is yet for sure. However, I'm leaning towards working for a small company flying private, charter, or cargo rather than the major airlines. But that could change of course.
