The CP is not from Alaska and doesnt even live there so not sure if float time will matter.
Cant hurt to apply if you want to work there. That being said, the above post is correct. They need 767 pilots in MIA. They have basically run out of pilots in AK and Hawaii that want to be based in MIA. They told pilots they will not junior assign to MIA. But you never know what management will do. Current policy is that everyone starts in the 737, but they just said they are reviewing that because doesnt make sense when they need pilots in 767 in MIA.
Also, HNL base is not currently staffed enough. Current vacancy bid has 4 737 FO slots. Plus Hawaiian just opened their window so more will leave HNL.
There is no LAX base. I know it says that in the job posting, but they have only talked about it as a future possibility. Plus, they dont have ETOPS yet so HNL-LAX flight is flown by ATI.
Currently in the process of merging the HNL pilots onto the NAC certificate. There is one integrated seniority list and new CBA, but currently still flying the planes under 2 certificates. They say that will be done by April.
