I am not reading any of this. I will just tell you to stop trying to justify your idea that per diem is income. It LITERALLY isn't. The government doesn't classify it as income, it isn't paid as income, it isn't taxed like income. It is paid to you solely to cover on the road expenses.

Also, ideas like this undermine what work groups have achieved for your benefit. There are many that have fought hard for you to get per diem as a means to supplement your expenses on the road. You wanna eat crew meals in your boxers and pocket the per diem, by all means you have that right, it is your money, but if it has to be part of your income for you to survive, you might not make enough INCOME.

It is all a personal choice what to do with the money that the company puts in your bank account, that is for sure, but I will never for the life of me understand why people punish themselves on the road when they are gone half their lives for work, and spending half their lives in hotel rooms. Use it, enjoy it.


Also, you wanna be anti-union, then go find another career, we don't need you.
