The one caveat to that is if you can stand eight day tours...you get the 3% bump.

3672 loss per year for the 52 day with 8 day tours. Reasonable, when you consider you are working 27 days less per year.
You are right...the 52 day does tend to go senior. Although, I wonder if that holds true if the IBI passes.
