It's funny to read how many times posters above have taken the opportunity to agree completely with a previous poster, and add more, to reiterate that we don't need to talk so much and we certainly don't need to duplicate what has already been said by someone else over the PA because really, people, no cares about what you're saying and even if you start by saying you'll keep it brief you probably aren't actually capable of that so please don't try, trust me I have ridden in the cabin before and made these observations before, that I'm not sure you have made because you probably don't pay attention during a dead head like I do, even though I don't want to pay attention to you, which is kind of my point, and I'm probably one of the better analyzers of what people want to hear and how they want to hear it because they really all want the same thing from the flight deck, although you should really call it a cockpit since everyone knows that's what it is, and since everyone wants the same thing it's kind of odd that I need to tell you that, since you must be the only outlier that doesn't understand I just want to watch my darn movie, but not the one on my own device because then I'd miss the announcements, none of which will contain the proper content or be spoken at the proper cadence, so I wouldn't know how to give you proper feedback on an anonymous bulletin board to fix that whole mess.
