You could also consider an NY base if you’re thinking strictly for single leg commutability. PIT would be good but the only option are the 2 Southwest flights offered per day (at least during the week). You’ll already be commuting time zones if you do PIT. By doing EWR or LGA you’ll have way more commuting options. Both DL and AA to LGA....SW and United to EWR.
