As much as I hate to admit it, United has increased 50 seat feed in the past three years despite ExpressJet decreasing in size by 2/3s. They did that without owning the majority of any regional. Will it be that easy in the future? I hope not. There’s nothing I’d like more than to see more of my ASA comrades hired at United. It’s discouraging to see XJT management try and string along so many pilots on the false pretense of new flying when history has shown that is not a reasonable expectation.
