This job was posted for only a few days, starting on Dec 2 (a Sunday) and closed on Dec 5. It's safe to say the pilot was chosen before the listing (like many high profile 91 gigs) and the listing was a broadcast for the chosen pilot to make HR and lawyers happy.
I’m not surprised. Almost every corporate job that is decent does this. If they really are hiring super low time guys off the street (like the OP), that’s a huge red flag.
