Anybody got any gouge on getting from Stanstead to Paris? Rather than a 20 hour layover then bagdrag to Heathrow to DH to CDG, I was just wanting to get into Stanstead and blow off the layover there and head on to CDG. Is there a train to take? Or does easyjet fly STN-CDG?

The FDX jumpseat should work and is your best option.
But if it doesn't here are some other options.
Easyjet and Ryan air both operate out of STN. They have pretty cheap fares but beware, they prefer everything to be booked on line. If you use a Human for reservation assistance, you will pay extra.
They fly to Paris Beauvous (SP?) which is a smaller airport a little northwest of CDG. There are buses and Train options into the city which are fairly painless.
The other option is take a train the whole way. This would be a pain because you have been up all night.
Take train from STN to London Kings Cross station. You might need to connect once, but I think there is a nonstop. Then @ king cross take the TUBE Underground (London Metro) circle route clockwise to Waterloo Station which is directly across the Thames river from West Minster.
From Waterloo, take the High speed train directly to Pairs Gare du Nord.
The entire trip should take about 4:30 hours.
The problem is, you need to check the time tables to ensure a 5 PM arrival into STN on FDX will allow you time to make necessary connections.
Personally other than FDX jumpseat, I would opt for Easyjet
unless I was planning on staying in London for the night, which isn't a bad option either.
