I agree. They should. Its the only way you get to know what is REALLY going on with your pilot group. Reading reports doesn't do the trick. The down side is that you become the "ready reserve" for crew scheduling if there's an empty seat that needs filling.
I spend more time on the line than in the office. Which, btw, is fine by me.
