The five I helped were all quality guys (and one quality girl) with around a decade each of unblemished UEX experience. This last one in particular was stellar: two CP recs, two recs from high up in the Willis Tower, about a dozen line pilot recs that were detailed, heartfelt, and genuine. All he’s wanted to do since high school is fly for United. I would have placed my own seniority number down as collateral on his success at United. He too got the big thumbs down.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how great of a candidate he/she is. Hate to say it but some people just don't interview well. It's possible to be so nervous that it can have a negative effect on your performance. It's good to be a little nervous or anxious.
