I agree with Canwegettheleft on this. UA is scoped out on 70 and 76 seat ac. Negotiation committee at mainline will not even consider (nor should they) any scope relief. So whipsaw for the current amount of 70-76 ac will continue. 50 seaters are not scoped out. UA is giving 50 seat flying to anyone of their FFD airlines who can staff it.

If you are working for any FFD UAX carrier, having all or at least some 50 seaters is good and is the only true growth that isn’t moving flying around.

Even if UA buys the E2 or the 220 and opens up more 76 seaters - that would not happen soon.

All that said, Delta’s approach to 50 seaters is more in line with your point so I would agree with you there however that is not applicable to us.
