Reducing headcount further is the ENTIRE focus of this IBI. More pilots will migrate to the 72 and 76 CC schedules and frequently with the long tour option in order to maximize Pharaoh's Riddle. The minute a pilot hits the magic number, a goodly number will then extend, further reducing hiring demand.
At a guess, we'll be down another 100 pilots two years from now.
The company ain't totally stupid.
Interesting because they want 30 a month and there getting 9-12 actually showing up! Attrition before year 4 is close to 32%. All numbers BJ gave us. Good news is a bunch ope old guys getting displaced to new equipment are waiting for the IBI bonus before retiring, no fun learning a new airplane at 60+.
