Not really an valid comparison. Look at SWA, they are the same as us. Why?, single fleet type. The big 3 fly a lot of different airplanes, while the retirements are big they are not equal across fleet types. Take all of that into account and the difference it is not as bad as the raw numbers indicate.
That actually helps movement in a little outpost like SEA if you are a DAL employee because a majority of the people senior to you will want a different aircraft, base, QOL other than SEA 737 so arguably you will rise in SEA 737 faster than you will where at say AS and everyone is interchangeable in it's largest base.
