Are you kidding? Delta has more money than it knows what to do with. Hence the stock buybacks, etc. One of the reasons why Delta has the best balance sheet in the business is because they don't overspend on airplanes. They keep their planes longer and when buying, will go with whoever offers the most bang for the buck. Bastian has said he's interested in being the launch customer for the 797, but you can bet that it's only if the price is right.
