OBTW --- Brian Shul was an AT-38 instructor when I went thru Holloman for figher lead in. He overcame huge odds and returned to fly after an A-1 he was flying in Vietnam was shot down. He crashed with the airplane and was severly burned from the accident. He was the Wing Life Support Officer at Holloman and as part of his indoc with new students he would tell his story and still had the helmet which was almost completely melted. He should not of surived the accident but never gave up his will to live and fly again---and ultimately realized his dream and became a Sled Driver. It really is a great story.
