ACE is one of the best companies for low time pilots to get hours and experience. It's hardball, IFR/VFR 135 in Alaska. If you work there, you'll work long days on little sleep, throwing boxes, loading and unloading, and for a small paycheck. That being said, it's one of the fastest career building jobs there is, and a mostly decent place to work.
Robbie, the chief pilot is a decent guy, kind of a rarity in that position. If you go in as a low time applicant, make it really clear that you understand you'll be working terrible shifts, you won't have any problem throwing boxes and working hard, and you're excited to have the opportunity to learn from the best. He gets lots of low time applications, so you'll have to do your best to stand out.
