Cheers. Your buddy is absolutely right. Good dude factor is a thing, you’ll spend 18+ hours a day with the same guys. Also, HR is concerned with how you and your family handle 16 days gone and flying into fun places like Kabul. I knew the exact moment I got the job: when the Chief Pilot asked me how I felt about flying into Afghanistan and I told him that if I get three more punches on my Bagram coffee card I get a free one (former mil). My wife tends to get sick of me at the 14 day point anyway. Whiz quiz day-of interview. All the PRIA paperwork is day-1 of INDOC.

The Compass trainer on latest pilot jobs is identical to the test, not similar, identical. The personality test really comes down to ‘don’t be weird.’ IMHO, ‘never and always’ are usually suspect answers unless your are talking Safety or Integrity.

I hear the sim is a thing again. The 74 flies extremely straightforward, gentleman’s airplane. When I was at initial, I bought an old copy of flight simulator with the 747-400 add on. Worked well when it comes to getting used to the MCP, might be useful.

Most guys got the call same day. I was eating dinner with some of my interview-mates at DTW when all of our phones (thankfully) went off one after another.

Cool things happening at K4, hope to see you here soon...
