This new issue is emblematic of the Culture and Safety are just BS. In the bluthisphere you can put a reserve on first thing in the morning for 4 hours, shut the pilot down and then expect them to be able to report 10-11 hours later.
25.R.5.c - If you are assigned to rest while in an RAP you can’t be put on a later RAP that same day.
That being said, there’s nothing preventing them from putting you on at midnight thirty. Probably worth a fatigue call at that point.
