Orders for a fleet of 55 new jets with service to the US and codeshare to the Mideast. Air Italy would be Italy’s default flag carrier (probably helped by Oneworld) if Alitalia isn’t saved... and a real big deal (if it isn’t already).
Emirates is already doing 5th freedom MXP-JFK. Qatar pinky-promised not to, but Air Italy without competition and Mideast state-sponsored limitless losses pose a real challenge to Skyteam and Delta EU-US. I hope Alitalia makes it. I bet AFKLM does too.
Hmm...thanks for the education man, a lot more to this I guess than meets the eye. I don’t think we need any gives in the scope area, but wow, we (Ma D) and us (Dalpa), better figure it out to a win I hope....or at least a draw.
