Maybe the best argument for the flow, if you are gonna screen carefully and hire the "holy crap, that guy?!?" anyhow, save urself the money it takes to interview all these applicants and let base management weed out the idjits (which they did in a few cases, although they returned to sender one guy who is amazing and a good person).
