UAL doesn’t get the 16% b fund contribution from profit sharing. That’s a huge loss.
The UAL profit sharing is substantially different than ours. It is based on % of profits rather than dollar amount of profits. If you UAL doubles their revenue with the same profit margin their actual profit would double. Their profit sharing would remain the exact same amount.
If revenue doubles at Delta with the same profit margin our profit sharing also doubles!
