Like most responses on here, I have reservations about the purple tie. Polaris is our premium product and should be the dominant color reflected throughout all the uniforms. If the tie was this shade of Blue, I'd buy into it more.

As far as the style of the blazer and pants, they look the same at first glance as everything else we see out there. Nothing stands out to me as "fashion forward". Still looks traditional and professional to me.

Personally, I actually like the thin silver stripes and non gold wings etc. Again our premium product is Polaris and there is ZERO gold in that product. It's all brushed nickel accents.

I actually like the various coat options bc you could actually wear them on a layover and not stand out as a Chester the Molester type.

Overall the pilot uniform isn't that far out of touch, except perhaps the purple. The other work group uniforms, especially the FA's, I think are much much worse.
