Want to be treated with respect? Earn it! That means earn your job, earn your place. Honestly the NGPA has outlived it's usefulness and is simply performing a newer version of discrimination. Some call it reverse discrimination. Whatever.....Thinly veiled or not, people have opinions. Mine is this....Earn it!
The instant I hear how some smarty-pants pilot capitalized on his affiliation with the NGPA to get the interview/Job, I simply pick up the paper and push the ignore button. Respect isn't given, it's earned, so earn the right to be here.
Rant over. sorry about that, but just tired of all the reverse discrimination.
If you can’t recognize that a white middle class or above male has a distinct advantage in attaining a pro pilot career than you are looking through rose colored glasses.
Does that mean that a white middle class male is less deserving of an opportunity? Of course not, but they don’t need any extra help to get them to the “competitive” line. A little bit of empathy will go a long way in understanding the situations of those not so fortunate as yourself.
