There wasn’t a need for new uniforms in the first place. Just find a vendor that could actually keep up with demand and use better material. We could simply buy new pants or other items as what we have wears out. There was no need to spend millions of dollars to come up with this stuff. The flying public shops for service and price. They are not going to pick or avoid an airline because they like their uniforms. The vast majority don’t even notice or care. Simply maintain a professional conservative dress and focus on providing a service that makes people want to spend their hard earned money at United again and again. Pilots wearing a goofy looking uniform or if the flight attendants wear an outfit that looks like they’re going to a formal at Taco Bell won’t really make a difference.
