His concerns are legit, I seriously doubt any HR rep in the interview would fault him for asking the question. If they had concerns I have no doubt any of our interview Captains would explain it to said HR rep, after all this entire career is a gamble no matter where one lands. Plenty of job offers have gone out to pilots that didn’t accept. I would be more worried about someone that didn’t have a full grasp of the big picture.
