I agree which is why I don't understand your point. We both agree the TSA serves no real purpose other than just being there, so what does it matter how sharp the workers are or if they're getting paid or not?
Because the large public perception that they no longer care about their jobs makes aviation a more attractive target.
The bigger threat is increasingly distracted ATC as this drags on.
