My take on this, which supports your ruthless comment is as follows.
We just lost or are losing most of our senior leadership in the union. Their stated goal was to get the PP's out the door as quickly as possible. While I am not saying they screwed anybody, the biggest winners certainly were the PP's and the company. While we did knock off a few months, we are now shackled to AA hiring numbers and months of training. In addition, as stated below, management gets to move on the people who have seen the **** and now gets to deal with a younger less experienced union. Win for the company.

Anywho, we now have new people in new positions at the union and this was a blatant attempt to take advantage of that fact. The company clearly doesn't care what we think or that we are bottom rung in terms of QOL because they are still getting people in the door.

The fact that in this environment, they actually demanded MORE concessions, even though we are currently operating under a bankruptcy/concessionary contract, just to keep negotiations open is a slap in the face with a middle finger following it up.

Its pretty sad and as someone that has often tried to take the middle ground when it comes to the company, this has changed my viewpoint on them. Instead of building a culture of mutual respect in which both sides need the other, they once again have shown that we are dispensable.

Dont come to Envoy if you are on the fence right now as I predict things will only get worse. If you have a degree and no criminal history, there are very few reasons to come here. The flow will take you a decade now and most likely won't exist by the time you get your turn.
