Sky and TP, thanks for the info. Not that current. Left AA in 2003, and haven't done much flying. If I were trying to come on as a FO, do I still need to be current within 6mo. or less? Also, what are the trip lengths like (in terms of days away from base)? I was thinking of going to either ATL or MIA, but at this point it doesn't sound like I'd be a viable candidate. Yes to question one. That currency should be airline or corporate.
Trip lengths vary greatly. Anything from a morning out and back to a 9 day trip. Most European trips are 2-3 days with a 24 hour layover in Europe. Most Asia trips are 3 to 5 days. Lots of one day turn-arounds to the Sub-Continent and back. They often leave at either 10pm or 3am and return around 8 or more hours later.
