What's the harm on insisting for the rnav visual... maybe it seems crazy but it's good that something that should have never been allowed in the first place, is actually banned now, properly in my opinion. Also, it's pretty normal to make mistakes and sometimes @*&t happens after a 11 hr 5 leg day, we've all been there... File your ASAP, move on with your life. There's two sides to every story and I withhold judgement without knowing the other side... you're very quick to judge your fellow pilots, but I'm sure you've done plenty of dumb stuff in the airplane too. Slow down and use the damn checklist... musta been go home leg on that flap setting one.
