We’ve only been awarded 25 E175SCs, perhaps they are thinking we’ll be awarded more? But the 70 seaters are scoped out. Only way to get more is to park the 50 seaters which goes against Kirby’s strategy, replace more CR7s with 175SCs or perhaps “insourcing” is a possibility.
The only way for xjt to get more 70 seat jets is to either take them away from another regional and shuffle assets, or for UAL to add another fleet type to mainline which would allow more rj’s at the regional of their choice. UAL isn’t going to go beyond the CPP. If we were to add 76 seat jets to mainline the company would simply hire off the street and through the various CPP programs like they do now.
