I have tried once but not with LH, it was Emirates. It was a short trip from Dubai to Sydney. I can tell you, that 1st class worth every dollar you're going to spend on. The level of service, food, comfort etc is beyond normal understanding. You can't just imagine that it could be that comfortable during a long flight. You can try to look here for the best deals, if you're looking for LH only flights. but there are also other airlines available. Below I will add a picture from 1st class
