As far as bad hotels, numbers are everything. All 4 crewmembers need to submit a complaint, not just one. That gets the complaint percentages up and increases the possibility that a hotel is looked at.
YEP! Every single FO I’ve had that complains about hotels..I asked them “did you submit a complaint to API and email the hotel committee??” “Nah I didn’t feel like it.” I said “well stop complaining then.” I have personally submitted 4 separate complaints against the same hotel in the same overnight. I tell everyone do not submit one complaint with multiple issues. Submit a complaint for each individual issue, otherwise most of it will get “overlooked”. Maybe if crews also started literally refusing these dumps things might get better.
