hotels outsource the laundry and dry cleaning of their guests. It's not "quick turn" as in one hour. It normally takes 24 hours. Some hotels do it overnight. However, they are dependent upon the reliability of their out source contractor.
We don't want to be going for that 0500 van when the outsourced laundry vendor truck won't start at 0430 when his shift begins.
Laundry gets lost and stolen.
I wouldn't depend upon a third party to fix what could be fixed with proactive planning.
Furthermore, I don't want to spend my layover tracking down laundry or worrying about it being delivered on time.
I only use hotel laundry as a last resort or in case I have a spill or some urgent need of cleaning that I didn't pack and plan for. I use it most often in the case of a reassignment or a maintenance cancel....
